Brief of Company Background
PT Eratex Djaja Tbk (the “Company”) was established in the framework of Foreign Capital Investment Law No.1, 1967 by Notary Deed No.7 dated October 12, 1972 based on Deed prepared by Koerniatini Karim, Public Notary in Jakarta.
Company’s Registered Office is in Jakarta, located at AXA Tower (Kuningan City) 43rd Floor, Jl. Prof. Dr.Satrio Kav.18, Karet Kuningan, Setiabudi, Jakarta 12940. The Administration Office is in Surabaya, located at Spazio Building 3rd floor Unit 319–321 Graha Festival Kav.3 Graha Family, Jl. Mayjend Yono Soewoyo, Surabaya – 60226. And the Factory is located in Probolinggo, Jl. Soekarno Hatta No. 23 Probolinggo.
Company commenced its commercial operation in 1974 with Spinning and Weaving division and the product was yarn and cotton fabrics. In 1980, Garment division was started and its commercial operation was begun one year later.
Company registered its shares on the Stock Exchange of Indonesia on August 21, 1990, in accordance with approval of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia No. SI-125/SHM/MK.10/1990 dated July 14, 1990. And since 2000, all shares have been registered on the Jakarta Stock Exchange and the Surabaya Stock Exchange (known as Indonesia Stock Exchange at present).
In 2008, Company decided to stop the production of Textile which are yarns and fabrics. And from that point forward has been focusing its production to garment with total export market orientation.
The core product of Company has been Casual Bottom wear. The Company’s products ranges from five basic pocket jeans to casual dress pants, with material varies from denim to Italian high count twill. More than 50% of the pants capacity is producting denim product, while requirement for embroidery and printing are conveniently supported by nearby contractors.
Company has done a lot of machineries renewals and improvements, replacing the old machines with the one of latest technology so automations can be done and production capabilities can also be improved and widened for some styles of garment which was previously could not be produced. The impact of this machineries renewals and improvements has been reflected in the overall productivity improvement that has contributed to the increase of production capacity.
Innovations carried out by Company in expanding its production capacity and capability by introducing state of the art machineries and supporting equipment with high production efficiency and high environment protection standard
