Brief of Company Background

In 2005 Sinarmas Group through its subsidiary in financial services divission PT. Sinarmas Multiartha, Tbk, equired PT.Bank Shinta Indonesia which was set up in 1989 and begin comercial operation from March 1990. The Banks name was changed to Bank Sinarmas (""Bank"") with effect from Desember 20, 2006, the date of concent of the Indonesia minister of laws and human rights.As a privately owned company, the bank has consistantly increased in market share in the challenging in growing market in the country. Efforts and inisiatives needed to meet the needs of our customer and comunities, and couraging bussines activity in financing micro, small and medium have been developed into commercial and consumer financing.After three (3) years, Bank Sinarmas gained the support from customers so that it could grow significantly. This can be seen from the achievement of total assets, network offices, ATM, various product and development of information technology to support bank's business activities.After the acquisition in 2005, the bank's total assets increased sharply from IDR 739 billion as of December 2005 to IDR 6.1 trilion as of December 2008, representing a growth rate of 725%. The expansion of branch office network and equity increase has also contributed to the fast assets growth.The expansion of branch network representing the realization of one of the bank's commitment to getting closer to customer and providing premier services. The total numbar of branch offices increased from 15 in 2005 to 78 as of December 2008 which operate across all over the country's provinces and are connected on a real time on-line basis.The present and future demand for the introduction of sophiscated information technology has been a challenge for the bank to offer the customer best service. For this reason, the bank has since 2007 deployed phone banking, internet banking and automatic teller machines (ATM), all of which operate without limitations.The bank has been growing in a sustainable manner on the basis of high degree of spirit and commitment on the part of its shareholders, management and employees, to improve customer service to its highest degree coupled with a sound financial structure so that the Bank Sinarmas will become the most thrusted bank.
