Brief of Company Background

PT. Indo Straits is a PMA Company, formed in 1984, under Foreign Investment Law No. 1 of 1967, governed by the Foreign Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM). PT. Indo Straits is majority owned by Straits Asia Engineering Pte. Ltd. of Singapore.PT. Indo Straits has more than 20 years experience in Marine Civil Contracting Work such as dredging and reclamation, marine structures, material handling, power plants, such as : * Dredging and reclamation * Construction of harbour, jetty, breakwater and shore protection * Lifting works for oil and gas platform installation * Dredging of trenches for laying of pipe line * Underwater construction * Fabrication of platform, living quarter, pile and other infrastructure * Installation of offshore production facility * Belt conveyor system, coal processing plant and other mechanical works * Small size power plantPT. Indo Straits beneficially owns a fleet of about 43 units of floating equipment of various sizes, comprising mainly Clamshell Dredger, Cutter Suction Dredger, Hopper Barges (door and split type), Tug Boat etc. Over the years, PT. Indo Straits has acquired and been impeccable reputation for being efficient and reliable contractor. It has never defaulted any of its contractual duty and has completed all projects entrusted to her with marine HSE standard. It manages its jobs well and smoothly, with close coordination and cooperation with client. It has never developed into a situation of dispute with client which required legal settlement.On 16th January 2006, PT. Indo Straits was accredited with ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management + System by UKAS (United Kingdom).
