Brief of Company Background
PT Provident Agro is a palm plantation company established in 2006, with 11 plantations located in Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi.It has a land bank of more than 140,000 ha and planted area of around 40,000 ha. Provident and Saratoga Group each own 50% of Provident Agro.Provident Agro employs around 7,500 personnel with key management mostly drawn from PT Astra Agro Lestari, one of the largest and most respected palm plantation companies in Indonesia. Mr. Maruli Gultomjoined PT Provident Agro as President Commissioner in 2010. Mr. Gultom was previously the CEO of PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk. Provident Agro has developed lending relationships with various local and regional banks, with its major lenders being DBS and UOB.
