Brief of Company Background

In 1970, seven entrepreneurs with same vision agreed to establish a company, namely PT. Metropolitan Development focused on developing Jakarta city. This company run its business in real estate, hotel, shopping center, industry, tourism, trading and health care. PT. Metropolitan Development growth rapidly become a holding company with many subsidiaries and many huge property projects. Several projects of Metropolitan Development group such as high end residential Pondok Indah, Pondok Indah Mall, Bukit Cinere Indah residential. Puri Indah residential and mall, Park Royal apartment, Wisma Metropolitan Building, Horison Hotel and Bumi Serpong Damai.PT. Metropolitan Land incorporated in 16 February 1994 and commenced operated in 28 October 1994 as part of restructuring exercise to consolidate the landed residential housing development business of the MD Group under an intermediate holding company together with the Bekasi super block which comprises of a mall and a four stars hotel. Currently PT. Metropolitan Land has five residential projects, they are Menteng Metropolitan, Puri Metropolitan, Permata Metropolitan, Taman Metropolitan and Taman Cileungsi. Commercial projects owned by PT. Metropolitan Land is Horison Hotel, Bekasi and shopping center Metropolitan Mal, Bekasi also Metropolitan Plaza, Tambun.The success of PT. Metropolitan Land nowadays is because of customer satisfaction, good quality of products, professional management and also because of good relationship with subsidiaries environment and partnership. The increasing trust from stakeholder is convinced by joining of Singapore investment companies named Reco Newtown Pte.Ltd in the 50% shares of PT. Metropolitan Land in 2004.In the same year PT. Metropolitan Land has convinced its professionalism to public by achieved ISO 9001:2000 Certification from United Registrar System. It shows that PT. Metropolitan Land management system has met the international company standard as well.With management system and corporate culture, PT. Metropolitan Land has succeed in employee motivation to conduct the competent team work.
