Brief of Company Background

The business journey of PT Jakarta International Hotels & Development Tbk (hereinafter referred to as JIHD) began on November 7, 1969.

JIHD’s initial existence was to continue the construction of the Hotel Borobudur Inter-Continental (now known as Hotel Borobudur Jakarta - HBJ) located on Lapangan Banteng Selatan Street, Central Jakarta, as well as taking over its ownership from the previous owner PT Perhotelan Banteng Baru.

The Hotel Borobudur Inter-Continental was officially opened by President Soeharto on March 23, 1974. The Hotel Borobudur Inter-Continental was honored as the venue for the PATA conference in April 1974.

Hotel Borobudur Jakarta stands on 89,510 m2 of land. Hotel Borobudur Jakarta has 19 floors with a total of 695 rooms consisting of 228 superior, 179 premiere deluxe and 288 other types. Hotel Borobudur Jakarta also has a service apartment “Garden Wing” with 140 units. It is also equipped with outdoor sports facilities.

JIHD became a public company by listing its shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on February 29, 1984.

Since in 1992, JIHD became the controlling shareholder of PT Danayasa Arthatama, the company development and management of the ± 50 hectare Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD), located in the heart of Jakarta, between Jenderal Sudirman Street, Jenderal Gatot Subroto Street and Semanggi Bridge.

JIHD’s business expanded to include real estate with the opening of PT Pacific Place Jakarta in SCBD in 2007. Previously, telecommunication services developed by PT Artha Telekomindo were consolidated with the acquisition of PT Danayasa Arthatama by the Company.

JIHD and its Subsidiaries intend to continue to grow and develop in a sustainable manner, by focusing to good corporate governance, increasing added value for shareholders and maintaining harmonious relationships with all stakeholders.
