Brief of Company Background

PT Indonesia Farma Tbk or abbreviated as PT Indofarma Tbk (hereinafter also referred to as the “Company” or “Indofarma”) has been active as a national pharmaceutical and medical device company for more than 10 decades.

In 1918, starting from a small-scale factory in the Dutch Colonial Government Central Hospital environment which at that time only produced several types of ointments and gauze bandages, the forerunner of PT Indonesia Farma (Persero) Tbk was built. Now, Indofarma has become one of the State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) that supports the Indonesian Government's program to continue to improve health services for the community.

On July 11, 1981, the Company's status changed to a legal entity in the form of Perusahaan Umum Indonesia Farma (Perum Indofarma). The Company's status changed again in 1996 to PT Indofarma (Persero) based on Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia (PP) No. 34 of 1995 with the deed of establishment based on Deed No. 1 dated January 2, 1996 which was amended by Deed No. 134 dated January 26, 1996.
