Brief of Company Background

Goodyear is the world's largest tire manufacturer. It employs more than 63,000 people with 46 production plants in 21 countries around the world. Its two innovation centers at the Innovation Center in Akron, Ohio and Colmar-Berg, Luxembourg strive to create superior products and services that set the industry standard for technology and performance.
The Goodyear logo is trademarked as being inspired by the Roman god Mercury statue in the home of Goodyear founder Frank Seiberling. According to Seiberling, Mercury depicts many characters that match Goodyear's products.

Goodyear Indonesia was originally established under the name N.V.Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company Limited based on Deed of Establishment No.199 dated January 22, 1917 made before Benjamin Terkuile, Notary in Surabaya, approved by the Gouverneur Generaal van Nederlandsch Indie by Decree No.50 dated May 23, 1917 and announced in Bijvoegsel No.217 Javasche Courant No.64 dated August 10, 1917.

Then changed its name to PT Goodyear Indonesia based on Deed No.73 dated October 31, 1977 made before Eliza Pondaag, Public Notary in Jakarta, which was approved by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Indonesia in Decree No. Y.A.5/250/7 dated July 25, 1978.

After the Limited Public Offering on November 10, 1980, the company's name changed to PT Goodyear Indonesia, Tbk with the issuer name listed GDYR.

Our business is now divided into two segments, Consumer for personal and passenger vehicle tires, and Commercial and OTR for commercial vehicle tires, transportation fleets and plantations, mining and agriculture.
