PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) in the first three months of 2021 posted a profit attributable to owners of the parent company of Rp320.51 billion, or a decrease of around 78.90% compared to the same period in the previous year, Rp1.51 trillion.

In the financial report published on Tuesday (27/4), the low-profit achievement was triggered by a decrease in profits from the sale and leaseback of towers by around 93.75%, from Rp1.62 trillion to only Rp101.438 billion.

In addition, the foreign exchange gain also decreased by 94.84%, from Rp43.35 billion to Rp2.23 billion.

XL's income was also drained by around 3.84% to Rp6.24 trillion from Rp6.49 trillion.

Until the end of the first quarter of 2021, the company's total assets were recorded at Rp65.93 trillion, down 2.67% from 2020's position of Rp67.74 trillion.
