Jakarta - PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) and Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co. Ltd. (Huayou) signed a joint Definitive Cooperation agreement to process PT Vale's nickel ore from the Pomalaa Block in Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi.

According to Vale CEO Februany Eddy, this synergy is part of Vale's commitment to building a world-class project portfolio and strengthening the next generation of sustainable mining in Indonesia. 

"The Pomalaa Block High-Pressure Acid Leach (HPAL) project is the cornerstone of PT Vale's sustainable development agenda, which will strengthen economic and social development at the local and national levels into the future," said Febriany Eddy in a press release on Monday (11/14).

In his view, this project proves         Vale's commitment to sustainable mining practices aligned with B20 priorities to ensure a fair and orderly energy transition.
