Agung Podomoro Net Loss Swells 375% to Rp650 Billion in 2021


Jakarta - PT Agung Podomoro Tbk (APLN) recorded an increase in net loss for the year attributable to owners of around 375.45% to Rp650.359 billion in 2021 compared to the previous year of Rp136.786 billion.

In the financial report released on Wednesday (4/6), APLN disclosed that the high net loss was triggered by an increase in interest expense and finance costs of around 13.25% to Rp1 trillion from Rp883 billion.

In addition, interest income decreased by 37.86% to Rp. 28,875 billion from Rp. 46.475 billion. Associates' net income was reduced by 26.01%, to Rp52.159 billion from Rp66.450 billion.

APLN also has to accept the low sales and operating income of around 14.12% to Rp4.256 trillion from Rp.4.956 trillion.

The cost of goods sold and direct costs also increased by around 2.57%, to Rp.2.826 trillion from Rp2.755 trillion.

Nevertheless, APLN managed to pocket another profit of Rp21.986 billion from the previous loss of Rp144.
