VAT Incentives Support Repower Asia Indonesia's Pre-sales in First Semester

Jakarta - The government rolling out Property Value Added Tax (VAT) incentives for landed houses and flats, supported PT Repower Asia Indonesia Tbk (REAL) sales in the first semester of 2021.

President Director of Repower Asia Indonesia Aulia Firdaus said pre-sales or marketing sales revenue in the first half of this year grew by more than 50% compared to the same period last year, to more than Rp10 billion.

"With the government's VAT incentive, we can still sell well in the second quarter," said a statement in Jakarta on Monday (16/8).

As is known, the government exempts VAT for landed houses and flats, priced between Rp300 million to Rp2 billion. The government also gives a 50% discount VAT for the price segment of Rp2 billion - Rp5 billion per unit.

This provision is written in the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) No. 21/PMK.010/21, which is effective from March 1, 2021, to August 31, 2021.
