Jakarta - PT Eagle High Plantations Tbk (BWPT) posted an increase in operating income of around 33.66% to Rp2.938 trillion in 2021 compared to the previous year's Rp2.198 trillion.

In the financial report released on Monday (9/5), the cost of goods sold increased by around 7.93%, to Rp2.313 trillion from Rp2.143 trillion.

BWPT also reduced losses from changes in the fair value of biological assets by around 95.86%, to Rp527 million from Rp2.730 billion. Operating expenses increased by about 11.18% to Rp346.641 billion from Rp342.592 billion.

However, net other expenses jumped by around 159.29% to Rp2.204 trillion from Rp850 billion. This was triggered by a loss on the sale of subsidiaries amounting to Rp1.597 trillion.

As a result, the current year's loss attributable to owners of the parent company increased by around 29.78% to Rp1.403 trillion from Rp1.081 trillion.
