OJK Extends Relaxation for Bank Credit Restructuring

Jakarta - The Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority OJK Meeting decided to extend the relaxation period for banking credit restructuring for one year to March 31, 2023, from March 31, 2022.

Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners, Wimboh Santoso, said the Board of Commissioner decided to maintain the momentum of accelerating national economic recovery and banking stability and the performance of debtors restructuring COVID-19, which had begun to improve. This extended relaxation of credit restructuring also applies to Rural Banks and Sharia-based Rural Banks.

"The loan restructuring that we have issued since the beginning of 2020 is very helpful for banks and debtors, including MSME players. To maintain momentum and mitigate the impact of the still high spread of COVID-19, the validity period of the restructuring relaxation has been extended until 2023," he said in a statement on Friday (3/9).

Currently, banks continue
