Jakarta - PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WTON) increased profit attributable to owners by 59.83% to Rp60.724 billion in the first semester of 2022 from Rp37.991 billion in the same period last year.

Based on the company's financial report released on Tuesday (8/30), a higher operating income of around 47.18% to Rp1.853 trillion from Rp1.259 trillion boosted the strengthening profit.

Unfortunately, the cost of revenue jumped by around 42.14%, to Rp1.683 trillion from Rp1.184 trillion.

However, operating expenses increased by around 19.10%, to Rp1.683 trillion from Rp1.184 trillion.

Nevertheless, operating profit jumped by around 710.450% to Rp121.450 billion from Rp14,993 billion.

WTON also has to accept the burden of decreasing the value of financial instruments of Rp7.679 billion from the previous revenue of Rp71.436 billion. Interest income was reduced by approximately doubling to Rp4.287 billion and a joint venture loss of Rp713.0
