Jakarta - PT Timah Tbk (TINS), until the first semester of 2022, posted a profit for the period attributable to owners reaching Rp1.08 trillion or an increase of around 300.74% compared to the same period the previous year of Rp270 billion.

"The increase in net profit was supported by the performance of the selling price of tin metal during the first half of this year, with an average price of US$41,110 per metric ton. The price was a 48% increase from US$27,858 per metric ton," Timah Finance and Risk Management Director Fina Eliani said in a written statement in Jakarta on Friday (9/2).

Along with profit, the company's revenue rose by around 27% to Rp7.47 trillion from Rp5.87 trillion.

However, the cost of revenue increased by about 16.05% to Rp5.50 trillion from Rp4.74 trillion.
