Jakarta - PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) recorded a surge in profit for the period attributable to entities of around 246.23% to Rp6.156 trillion in the first half of this year from the same period last year of only Rp1.778 trillion.

The company's financial report published on Friday (8/26) showed that the strengthening of profits was supported by the higher revenue of around 79.02% to Rp18.423 trillion from Rp10.291 trillion.

Operating profit also grew more than three times, from Rp2.324 trillion to Rp7.191 trillion. PTBA also managed to reap a financial income of Rp207.801 billion or more than two times the amount of Rp98.576 billion.

Along with the increase in revenue, the cost of revenue also swelled by around 49.33% to Rp. 10,071 trillion from Rp. 6.744 trillion.

Meanwhile, PTBA's total assets were recorded at Rp35.913 trillion as of June 2022, with equity of Rp22.704 trillion and liabilities of Rp13.208 trillion.
