Jakarta - PT Map Active Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPA) reported a 50.2% increase in sales to Rp1.9 trillion in the first quarter of this year, compared to Rp1.3 trillion in the same period last year.

"As a result, net profit increased significantly from IDR 638 million in the previous year to Rp170,3 billion," said Ratih D. Gianda, VP of Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, and Sustainability of MAP Group, in a press release on Monday (5/23).

He added that gross margin increased by 280 bps from 42.8% to 45.6%, operating profit was recorded at Rp.232.1 billion, grew 604.4%, and EBITDA increased by 106.4% from Rp.187.5 billion to Rp.387 billion.

"Our brand portfolio recorded the largest increase in MAPA results in a quarter with extraordinary growth in outlets, company-owned eCommerce channels, and online marketplaces. Also, our investment across ASEAN, despite the case of the Omicron variant, increased rapidly in February, "said Ratih
