PT Kimia Farma Tbk (KAEF) posted a profit for the year attributable to the parent company owners throughout 2020, amounting to Rp17.63 billion from the previous year's loss of Rp12.72 billion.

Based on the financial reports published on Thursday (1/4), this profit was supported by an increase in net sales of around 6.44% to Rp10.006 trillion from Rp9.4 trillion.

The cost of goods sold also increased by around 7.66%, from Rp5.89 trillion to Rp8.34 trillion.

Also, Kimia Farma managed to maintain the operating expense rate of Rp3.32 trillion or only up 3.58% from Rp3.21 trillion, and other income also increased by around 53.37%, from Rp215.28 billion to Rp330.18 billion.

Unfortunately, the company still recorded a foreign exchange loss of Rp8.28 billion, up 63.80% from Rp5.05 billion.

Meanwhile, the company's total assets until the end of December 2020 reached Rp17.56 trillion or a 4.19% decrease from last year's Rp18.35 trillion, consisting of Rp10.45 trillion liabilities Rp7.10 trillion equity.
