SIDO Sales Fall in Jan-Sep

Jakarta - PT Industri Jamu and Pharmacy Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO) recorded a decline in sales for the January-September period this year by around 5.87% to Rp2,613 trillion from the same period last year of Rp2,776 trillion.

According to SIDO Director Leonard, the low sales achievement was triggered by the normalization of demand for consumer health products from a high base in the third quarter of 2021 due to the spread of the Delta variant.

"However, by looking at the increased performance in the third quarter of 2022 compared to the second quarter of yesterday, we are optimistic that the demand for health products, especially herbs, will continue to grow," Leonard said in a press release on Thursday (27/10).

In the third quarter of 2022, SIDO's sales and net profit rose by around 37% and 83%, respectively, compared to the second quarter of this year. Meanwhile, compared to January-September 2021, net profit eroded 17% to Rp720,447 billion
