PT Indosat Ooredoo Tbk (ISAT) managed to record profit for the period attributable to owners of the parent company of Rp172.155 billion in the first quarter of 2021.

In the financial report published on Thursday (20/5), the company posted a positive profit performance supported by a low loss on foreign exchange of around 97.60% to only Rp3,533 billion from Rp147,504 billion.

In addition, Indosat has also succeeded in increasing total revenue by around 12.60% to Rp7.345 trillion from Rp6.523 trillion.

The operating expenses reduced by around 1.4% to Rp6.415 trillion from Rp6.326 trillion.

However, the gain from changes in the fair value of derivatives decreased drastically by fourfold to Rp28,006 billion from Rp94,327 billion. Interest income also shrank by around 90.54% to only Rp6.546 billion from Rp69.206 billion.
