Jakarta - PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) targets coal production of 36.41 million tons this year, increasing 21% from the previous year's realization of around 30.04 million tons.

"The volume of coal sales this year is projected to be 37.10 million tons, or a 31% increase from the previous year's realization of 28.37 million tons," PTBA Corporate Secretary Apollonius Andwie said in a statement in Jakarta on Monday (7/3).

As for coal transportation this year, it is planned to be 31.50 million tons, an increase of 24% from the previous year's realization of 25.42 million tons.

PTBA cooperates with PT KAI  to develop a railroad coal transportation project. Its capacity will be 72 million tons per year by 2026.
