PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (AALI) posted a profit growth attributable to company owners throughout 2020 of 294.61% to Rp833.090 billion compared to the previous year of Rp211.117 billion.

The company's report, published on Thursday (25/2), shows an increase in net income of around 7.76% from Rp17.452 Rp18.807 trillion supported this increase in profit.

The company also succeeded in reducing revenue costs, which were almost the same as the previous year, to Rp15.844 trillion. The company was also able to carve a foreign exchange gain of Rp33.048 billion by the end of last year of the prior year's loss of Rp34.652 billion.

The company's interest income also increased by around 68.80% to Rp51.002 billion from Rp30.214 billion.

The company's total assets as of the end of 2020 reached Rp27,781 trillion, consisting of liabilities and equity of Rp8.533 trillion and Rp19.247 trillion, respectively.

Meanwhile, AALI recorded cash and cash equivalents at the end of the year at Rp978,892 billion or grew almost three times from the previous year, which was only Rp383,366 billion.
