Jakarta - PT Kapuas Prima Coal Tbk (ZINC) is building two smelters with an investment value of US$82 million.

On Monday (11/14), ZINC management announced in public exposes that the company will invest $15 million in a lead smelter built by PT Kapuas Prima Citra.

This lead smelter will start operating in the fourth quarter of 2022. The smelter's capacity is 40,000 tons lead concentrate with a yield of 20,000 tons of bullion.

Then, a zinc smelter with an investment of around US$67 million by PT Kobar Lamandau Mineral. The smelter's capacity is 83,000 tons of zinc concentrate with a product yield of 40,000 tons of ingots.

This year, ZINC targets sales of Rp650 billion. However, the planned achievement depends on Indonesia's economic recovery due to fluctuating base metal prices since early 2021.
