Widodo Makmur Unggas Starts to Export in Second Quarter


PT Widodo Makmur Unggas Tbk (WMUU), an integrated poultry company, plans to start exporting products In the second quarter of this year,

Widodo Makmur Unggas Marketing and Sales Director, Tri Mahawijaya Herlambang, said that this year the company would realize its export plan to neighboring countries. Moreover, the documents and production facilities that the WMUU has built are of international standard and certified.

"At least in the second or third quarter of this year, we have started exporting to neighboring countries," he said in Jakarta on Wednesday (3/2).

Currently, the WMUU factory facilities from a breeding farm, commercial, hatchery, and slaughterhouse have obtained the Avian Influenza (AI) open compartment certificate so that the export requirements have been met and realized immediately.

Widodo Makmur Unggas officially took the floor on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) yesterday. WMUU's shares shot up to Rp242 per share in its first debut, from the initial public offering price of Rp180 per share.

Financial Services Authority (OJK) includes WMUU shares in the Sharia Securities List. In the letter, OJK has issued a decision of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority regarding the determination of Sharia Securities,  Decree Number: KEP-03 / D.04 / 2021, concerning the Stipulation of PT Widodo Makmur Unggas Tbk Shares as Sharia Securities on January 22, 2021.
