Jakarta - PT Vale Indonesia Tbk, China's Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co Ltd, and Ford Motor Co signed a cooperation agreement to process nickel ore in the Pomalaa Block, Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi.

This collaboration refers to the framework of the agreement that was agreed between Vale and Huayou on April 27, 2022, regarding the development of the High-Pressure Acid Leaching (HPAL) processing facility in Vale's Pomalaa Block.

The total production capacity reaches 120,000 metric tons of nickel content per year in the form of mixed hydroxide precipitate.
