BI: FX Debt Falls 5.76% to US$392.6 Billion in November 2022


Jakarta - Bank Indonesia noted that Indonesia's foreign debt in November 2022 contracted by around 5.6% (YoY) to US$392.6 billion.

"BI reported Indonesia's external debt at US$392.6 billion as of November 2022," BI Executive Director Erwin Haryono said on Tuesday (1/17).

With these developments, Erwin said, Indonesia's external debt growth in November 2022, which contracted, continued the contraction in the previous month of 7.6% (YoY). This growth contraction came from public sector external debt (the government and the Central Bank) and the private sector.

According to the central bank, the government's external debt position in November 2022 was US$181.6 billion, a decrease of 10.2% from the previous month, which was 12.3% (YoY).
