Jakarta - The increase in commodity prices and the start of a recovery in the mining sector due to the COVID-19 pandemic will boost sales of PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR), Director of United Tractors Iwan Hadiantoro said.

Furthermore, the company increased its heavy equipment sales target this year to 3,000 units due to rising commodity prices.

"As of the end of July, the company's Komatsu brand heavy equipment sales reached 1,564 units, an increase of 67 percent compared to the same period last year," Iwan said at the Public Expose (PubEx) Live 2021 in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/9).

According to Iwan, the increase in economic activity this year, especially from the mining sector, spurred heavy equipment sales.

"In the middle of this year, UNTR raised the company's heavy equipment sales target from 1,700 units to 2,500 to 2,600 units. Currently, UNTR has again adjusted the company's heavy equipment sales target to 2,800
