Unilever Indonesia Changes Board of Directors

Shareholders of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) approved two directors' resignation and appointed a new board of directors. This approval took place at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS).

Two directors who resigned are Jochanan Senf and Sri Widowati. Jochanan will take on a new assignment as VP Foods at Unilever in charge of DACH (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), while Sri has decided to pursue a career outside Unilever Indonesia.

On the other hand, the EGMS appointed Tran Tue Tri as the new director of Unilever Indonesia. He will oversee the Beauty and Personal Care division.

Unilever Indonesia's Corporate Secretary, Reski Damayanti said, Tran Tue Tri, familiar with Tri, is a Vietnamese citizen and joined Unilever in 2012.

"Tran Tue Tri has held several senior positions, including Vice President Global Brand Clear, Vice President of Personal Care, and a member of the board of directors of Unilever Vietnam," he said, Thursday (28/1).

Meanwhile, the Ice Cream division previously held by Jochanan Senf will be continued by Hernie Raharja. Hernie will lead the entire Foods and Refreshment (F&R) business.

According to Reski, with a record of success in developing Unilever Indonesia's business portfolio in the F&R sector, Hernie is believed to be the right leader for developing the Ice Cream business.

"Unilever Indonesia believes that the merger of the Ice Cream division and the F&R division under one leader will increase synergy and support the growth of the two divisions," said Reski.

The following is the composition of the new Unilever Indonesia board of directors:
