Jakarta - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) posted a profit growth for the year attributable to owners throughout 2021 of around 91.26%, reaching Rp1.861 trillion from the previous year of only Rp973.877 billion.

According to the financial report released on Wednesday (3/16), the high profit was driven by a 40.45% increase in sales to Rp38.445 trillion from Rp27.372 trillion.

Along with stronger sales, the cost of goods sold increased by around 40.13%, or from Rp22.896 trillion to Rp32.086 trillion.

Operating expenses also swelled by around 48.17%, to Rp3,620 trillion, from Rp2,443 trillion. Nonetheless, Antam was able to increase its operating profit by approximately 34.74%, to Rp2.738 trillion from Rp2.032 trillion.

Furthermore, Antam managed to triple its associates' profits to Rp452,624 billion from Rp126,509 billion. Financial expenses also shrank by around 48.39%, to Rp359.094 billion from Rp565.452 billion.
