PT Mandiri Sekuritas posted a profit growth for the year throughout 2020 of 45%  YoY at Rp135.4 billion.

"It was the highest profit growth as long as the company operates," said Director of Mandiri Sekuritas, Heru Handayanto, in an online presentation of the 2020 financial performance on Wednesday (3/3).

He added that an increase in revenue of around 21% to Rp794 billion mainly supported the profit. Another support, ROE, increased by about 14.7% over the past year, with the structure of the NAWC recorded at Rp517 billion.

During 2020, Mandiri Sekuritas successfully handled 82 transactions, consisting of 16 global bond issuances with a total value of US$2.3 billion, 47 domestic bond issuances of Rp10.7 trillion, and 19 financial advisors.

"Mandiri Sekuritas is the only private securities company that competes in the international capital market. Until last year, the total share transactions raised by Mandiri Sekuritas amounted to Rp357 trillion, "he explained.

Until the end of last year, the number of Mandiri Sekuritas customers increased by 75%, with daily transaction growth of around 130%, transactions made online trading around 90%, and customer fund accounts up 160%.

According to him, Mandiri Sekuritas will strengthen retail business growth, accelerate digital innovation, prudent operational management, and strengthen synergies with the Mandiri Group.

Mandiri Sekuritas Retail Director Theodora VN Manik said that the Covid-19 pandemic had changed people's lifestyles, especially retail.

"We hope that Mandiri Sekuritas will innovate, educate, and promote, for example, to accelerate and equip all online accounts so that millennial customers will become our pillars for investing in the capital market," said Dora.
