Jakarta - Bank Indonesia announced the results of the Business Activity Survey (BAS), indicating an increase in business activity in the second quarter of 2022.

"This is reflected in the value of the Weighted Net Balance (WNB) of 14.13 percent, higher than the WNB in ​​the first quarter of 2022 at 8.71%," said Head of the BI Communications Department Erwin Haryono on Thursday (7/14).

Improvements in business performance are indicated, especially in the manufacturing sector; trade, hotels, and restaurants; as well as transportation and communication; in line with the easing of mobility restriction policies in various regions, the celebration of national religious holidays, which stimulate demand, as well as the availability of production facilities.

In line with the development of business activities, the used production capacity in the second quarter of 2022 was 73.22%, an increase from 73.08% in the previous quarter.

The use of
