Darmi Exports 18 Containers in First Quarter

Jakarta – In the first quarter of 2022, PT Darmi Brothers Tbk (KAYU) realized export sales and sent 18 containers overseas.

President Director of Darmi Brothers, Nanang Sumartono Hadiwidjojo, said that his party continued to sell exports throughout last year despite facing marketing problems due to the pandemic outbreak in South Asia's export destination countries.

"At the same time, we are facing an extraordinary increase in container rental prices triggered by the scarcity of containers at the port of departure and port of destination, as well as being confronted by soaring freight prices," he said in his statement to the IDX information disclosure on Wednesday (16/2).

In 2021, the company recorded shipments of 51 containers, or 106,517 (log) pcs, with a volume of 1,030,2581 M3.

Meanwhile, in the first quarter of 2022, KAYU shipped 18 containers, or 48,734 pcs, with a volume of 379.2814 M3.
