Timah Plans to Buy Back Debt Securities Rp1.30 Trillion


PT Timah Tbk (TINS) plans to buy back debt securities with an estimated funds allocation of  Rp1.30 trillion.

Timah's brief prospectus published Friday (13/8), the plan to buy back debt securities to pay off the debt securities bought back.

The Company believes that the debt securities buyback can have a positive impact on Timah's financial performance. Until now, Timah still has sufficient capital to finance its business activities and fund the debt securities buyback.

The debt securities being bought back is a sustainable bond I phase I 2017 series B. The bonds were issued on September 28, 2017, with a repurchase value of up to Rp720 billion.

Continuous Sukuk Ijarah I Phase I 2017 Series B was issued on September 28, 2017, with a repurchase value of up to Rp180 billion.

Then, the 2019 series A continuous bonds I phase II were issued on August 15, 2019, with a repurchase value of a maximum of Rp387 billion.
