Tianjin Foreign Studies University holds International Culture Festival & College Fair

Tianjin, China (ANTARA/Xinhua-AsiaNet)- SCO Embarks; Tianjin Shines. The 9th International Culture Festival & College Fair of Tianjin Foreign Studies University (TFSU) kicked off in early May, according to the university in north China.
During the event, over 300 international teachers and students, along with Chinese and foreign guests from 19 countries and regions including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Egypt, Vietnam and Guatemala, jointly immersed themselves in a splendid international cultural feast blending Chinese and foreign elements.
Li Yingying, secretary of the Party committee and president of Tianjin Foreign Studies University, said that leveraging its strengths in multilingual education and international schooling, TFSU has deeply integrated into the global education network and established long-term cooperation with more than 400 universities and institutions across over 50 countries worldwide.
Li said the university is committed to international Chinese language education and the development of overseas Confucius Institutes. While introducing fine cultures from various countries, TFSU actively promotes the overseas dissemination of Chinese culture.
A campus open day was held concurrently, offering young students a valuable window to understand TFSU and engage with the world.
By setting up a stage transcending national boundaries, TFSU hopes that every participant can experience the charm of civilizations through exchanges, forge sincere friendships through inclusiveness, and broaden their horizons through mutual learning, Li said, adding that together with friends from all countries, the university aims to paint a vivid civilization landscape that embodies the philosophy of respecting diversity and seeking exchanges.
At the opening ceremony, the Belt and Road research center for pharmaceutical regulations was inaugurated, and the launch ceremony for the multilingual publishing project on Tianjin's future development in Chinese, Russian and English was held.
