PT Telkom  and Etisalat plan to invest up to US$100 million to build a data center in Nongsa Digital Park.

Thus, citing a written statement from the Ministry of Economy, Thursday (15/7), Nongsa Digital Park has been designated as an SEZ through PP No 68 of 2021, through inauguration in March 2018.

The goal is to support digital technology to further develop in the Batam-Bintan-Karimun (BBK) area.

The location is the main project used as a digital hub between Indonesia and Singapore.

Currently, Nongsa Digital Park has around 160 companies with 1000 workers from local and foreign companies.

In addition to Nongsa Digital Park, the Indonesian government has also established the Batam Aero Technic (BAT) zone in Batam as an SEZ through PP No. 67 the Year 2021.
