TBS Energi Utama Sells Shares in Paiton Energy, Minejesa Capital


Jakarta - PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA), through its business entity PT Batu Hitam Perkasa (BHP), has divested 2,124 shares in PT Paiton Energy (PE) and 250,050 class A shares in Minejesa Capital BV (MCBV).

According to the summary prospectus published on Monday (23/8), the 250,050 class A shares representing 5% of the total shares issued by MCBV.

BHP carried out the divestment of both PE shares and MCBV shares to MDES. The total value of BHP's share transfer transaction is US$68,869 million, or 23.67% of the company's equity value.

The BHP share divestment transaction is one part of the company's plan to develop renewable energy resources and reduce carbon footprint.

In addition, the company carried out the share divestment to strengthen the company's financial condition.

From a strategic point of view, the company sees implementing this transaction as having good economic value for BHP and the company.
