Strengthening US Bond Yields Pressure Gold Prices

The gold price on Tuesday (20/4) has the potential to decline by moving to US$1,750 per troy ounce area with potential resistance at around US$1,790 per troy ounce.

"US government bond yields with a tenor of 10 years strengthened again to above 1.60% in yesterday's trading. This has pushed down the price of gold," said Commodity Observer Ariston Tjendra in Jakarta.

He explained, the pressure on gold prices could continue today with the increase in these yields.
