Startups' IPO Makes Indonesia Market Attractive


The planned initial public offering (IPO) for unicorn and decacorn startups will increase the attractiveness of the Indonesian capital market.

Chief Executive of the Capital Market Supervisory Financial Services Authority (OJK) Hoesen said his party positively welcomed the interest of unicorn and decacorn startups to list on the Indonesian stock exchange.

"The entry of large startup companies, unicorns and dekakorn, will excite the Indonesian capital market," he said Thursday (5/8).

According to Hoesen, the IPO of these technology companies will increase the attractiveness of the Indonesian market, especially in the eyes of foreign investors.

"This can have an impact on the increase in market capitalization in Indonesia along with the increase in the number of investors. To anticipate the company's presence, OJK and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) are currently working on regulations that are in line with the characterist
