The Manggarai OCC (Operation Control Center) is one of the work scope items in the Manggarai-Jatinegara Phase 1 Double-Double Track (DDT) APBN project, officially operates on January 14, 2021.

The construction is entrusted to PT Len Industri (Persero) and PT Len Railway Systems (a subsidiary) as the implementing contractor working on the signaling system and will be operated by PT KAI (Persero)

PT Len Industri and PT Len Railway Systems had successfully switched over the Manggarai OCC and officially began operating on January 14, 2021, at 00.00 WIB.

"OCC is the largest and most sophisticated in Southeast Asia because it has a high level of complexity and mixes and matches various interlocking systems currently in Jakarta. OCC Manggarai is a centralized operation system in the form of CTS (Centralized Traffic Supervised), which is useful for supervising all train movements and the suitability of train schedules between planning and actual throughout Daop 1 (Operational Area 1) Jakarta, "said President Director of Len Industri, Bobby Rasyidin said in a press release, Tuesday (19/1).

SiLVue has TKDN (Domestic Component Level) above 45% and can integrate various types of interlocking from abroad in Indonesia, such as SSI, K5B, SILSafe, West race, and iVPI.

"Our design and integration capabilities have been tested, so we will not depend on foreign vendors, even though there are some devices that still use overseas vendors. Because the spare parts are already available in Indonesia and the application system used at OCC Manggarai is 100% made in Indonesia by the nation's children, namely CTC / CTS SiLVue, "he explained.

Apart from being flexible, subsequent maintenance costs will be relatively cheap because they already use industrial specifications. Wherewith these industrial specifications, the lifetime of the device can reach 10 years of service life.

Meanwhile, Executive Vice President Engineering of PT LRS, Sjaikhunnas El Muttaqien, explained that there are 3 main components of OCC: the server is the central part of collecting data and information for all stations, processing data from stations and workstations, and sending data. Furthermore, Client-Operators who can supervise and control train travel and Client-Wall Display, a large screen, display an overall indication of all stations in the related OCC operation area.

The Manggarai OCC is one of the OCCs built by the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation from the 9 OCC units on Java. Six units of which were entrusted to PT Len Industri, namely Operational Area (Daop) 1 Jakarta (Manggarai), Daop 4 Semarang, Daop 5 Purwokerto, Daop 8 Surabaya, Daop 6 Yogyakarta (construction process), and Daop 7 Madiun (development process).
