SOE Minister Erick Thohir is optimistic that this year's SOE dividend payment to the state treasury can reach Rp35 trillion.

"Today, our dividend data is certainly still small because if we look at the previous year, which should have been targeted at Rp40 trillion, but because of COVID-19 we can only deliver Rp26 trillion. God willing, this year there will be an increase of Rp35 trillion," he said in Jakarta on Tuesday (15/6).

According to Erick, the dividend contribution comes from state-owned enterprises in the banking, telecommunications, energy, and mining sectors.

"We want how to improve SOEs based on good human capital, good business so that our target is to return as much dividends as possible to the state treasury," he said.

Erick also set a target for SOEs' dividend payment in 2022 at a value equal to the deposit value in 2019.
