The Jakarta Composite Index in the first session of trading today, Monday (9/8), fell 0.14% or 8.873 points or 6,194.558.

There were 210 stocks rising, 280 stocks lower, and 148 stocks were unchanged. The total trading volume reached 18.9 billion shares with a turnover of Rp10.2 trillion.

Meanwhile, the top gainers in the LQ45 were PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) down 4.09% to Rp2,580, PT Timah Tbk (TINS) down 3.32% to Rp1,455, PT Indah Kiat Pulp, and Paper Tbk (INKP) fell 3.21% to Rp6,775.

Among the top losers included PT Ace hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) up 1.50% to Rp1,355, PT Pakuwon Jati Tbk (PWON) up 1.40% to Rp436, PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) rose 1.39% to Rp16,400.
