Jakarta - PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk (SSIA) managed to achieve a profit for the period attributable to owners in the first semester of this year, amounting to Rp79.513 billion from a loss in the same period last year of Rp190.828 billion.

The company's financial report released on Wednesday (8/31) showed that a higher operating revenue of around 77.93% to Rp1.548 trillion from Rp870 trillion boosted the company's ability to achieve profit.

Unfortunately, direct expenses swelled by around 72.58%, to Rp1.253 trillion from Rp726 billion.

Nevertheless, SSIA achieved an operating profit of Rp239.753 billion from the previously recorded operating expenses of Rp79.636 billion. One of the supports is the high other income of about nine times, to Rp229.653 billion from Rp24.085 billion.

SSIA also pocketed the associate's profit share of Rp2.516 billion from the previous nil, and the joint venture's profit share jumped by about 1,679
