Samudra Indonesia to Pay Rp10 per Share as 2020 Dividend

The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) of PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk (SMDR) approved the distribution of cash dividends for the 2020 financial year of Rp32.7 billion or equivalent to Rp10 per share.

President Director of Samudera Indonesia Bani Maulana Mulia said the company was able to go through the operational challenges of 2020 well.

The company renovated several vessels and recorded a loss on the adjustment of the book value of the vessels.

"However, the loss has no impact on the company's operational performance or cash flow," he said on Friday (2/7).

According to Bani, in line with the recovery in global economic activity, which is reflected in the increasing demand for international container shipping, the company is optimistic that it will find opportunities to improve performance in 2021.

"Last year, SMDR posted a 12 percent increase in the company's revenue from the previous year to US$490.
