Jakarta - The property issuer, PT Repower Asia Indonesia Tbk (REAL), plans to enter the data center business by converting its office building assets in Jakarta and its surroundings.

REAL President Director Aulia Firdaus said that currently, REAL is in talks with several strategic partners in several other locations, including in Cikarang and Tangerang, regarding this data center business.

"We are in serious discussion and conducting a feasibility study related to this data center business," in his statement on Wednesday (15/9).

According to Aulia, in developing REAL's business, you must always do research. According to Structure Research, the projection for data center growth in Indonesia in 2020-2025 will reach 23.5% per year.

"In 2025, the market size is estimated to reach US$618.6 million," he said.
