In collaboration with the Hajj Financial Management Agency BPKH, PT PP Tbk plans to invest in Saudi Arabia in the form of construction and ownership of accommodation and hotel facilities in Saudi Arabia for Indonesian Hajj and Umrah pilgrims through the Rumah Indonesia project in Mecca.

PTPP President Director Novel Arsyad said Indonesia was one of the countries that dispatched the most hajj and umrah pilgrims every year.

In 2019,  231,000 Indonesian Muslims performed the Hajj, and 1.2 million performed Umrah in 2019, representing 10.7% of the total world hajj pilgrims.

With the potential for the number to continue to rise every year, the number of pilgrims in Indonesia will reach 5.24 million in 2022.
