PTPP Completes Komodo Airport Development, Expansion Project


Jakarta - PT PP Tbk (PTPP) has completed constructing and expanding Komodo Labuan Bajo Airport facilities.

The project, whose funds are sourced from the state budget, has a scope of work that includes: runway extension work, passenger terminal interior arrangement work, passenger terminal extension work, cutting TH 17 runway obstacle, etc.

As for one of the developments carried out by PTPP,  from the runway side, in the form of an extension from 2,450 meters to 2,650 meters, with the extension of the runway, the company hoped that it would be more flexible to be used by narrow body aircraft.

"We as a construction company have completed the work on time and with the best quality. Currently, Labuan Bajo is one of the tourist destinations in Indonesia that attracts foreign and local tourists," said PTPP President Director Novel Arsyad in his statement on Monday (7/25).

According to him, this area has stunning scenery, so it has its advantages.

"We hope that with the inauguration of the development of Komodo Airport, Labuan Bajo will become one of the favorite tourist destinations in Indonesia," he explained.

Furthermore, this airport's presence will undoubtedly positively impact economic growth in the province of East Nusa Tenggara.

"PTPP is very proud to be trusted as a contractor in the Komodo Airport development project in Labuan Bajo. PTPP will continue to support government programs in improving infrastructure in Indonesia," he said.
