Brief of Company Background
The bank was founded in Jakarta under the name of PT Bank Mayapada International in 1989. In 1995, it changed its name to PT Bank Mayapada Internasional. Commercial operation began in 1990 pursuant to Decree of the Minister of Finance No. 342/KMK.013/1990 dated March 16, 1990. Three years later, it was upgraded to foreign exchange bank status pursuant to Decree of Bank Indonesia No. 26/26/KEP/DIR dated June 3, 1993. To improve service to customers and build towards nation-wide expansion, the bank has opened operational offices outside Jakarta in Surabaya, Semarang, Solo, and Denpasar.
