PT Prodia Widyahusada Tbk (PRDA), in the first semester of 2021, posted a net income of Rp1.2 trillion or grew 88.4% compared to the previous year of Rp657.29 billion.

Prodia's President Director, Dewi Muliaty, said that net profit grew positively to Rp301.02 billion in line with revenue.  It swung from the same period in the previous year, which was a loss of Rp12.09 billion.

"The increase in net income in the first semester of 2021 was supported by the revenue contribution from each customer segment. The individual customer segment and doctor's referrals contributed 68.19% of revenue," in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday (4/8).

In addition, the contribution of the third-party reference segment and corporate clients was 31.81%. Esoteric test revenue also increased 214.9% to Rp485.01 billion, in line with the increasing requests for esoteric tests in the first semester of 2021 to around 1 million tests.
