President Jokowi Sees Vaccination for Banking, Capital Market Workers on IDX

President Joko Widodo reviewed the coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccination on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for workers in the banking and capital market sectors.

The banking and capital market sectors are indeed one of the priorities for recipients of the government's vaccines.

"Banking and the capital market are very important parts for the movement of the economy," said Jokowi after reviewing the implementation of vaccinations, on Wednesday (31/3).

Vaccinations are given to those who deal directly with consumers and the wider community. Be it customer service to tellers.

It is hoped that after vaccination, market players can avoid activities in the capital market and banking from the spread of Covid-19. So that banking and capital market activities can continue to run optimally.

"With this, we hope that capital market and banking activities will be protected from contracting Covid and we hope that after being given the vaccine, it will run normally as usual," he said.

The banking sector and the capital market are important factors in the economy. For information, apart from causing a health crisis, the Covid-19 pandemic also caused an economic crisis.

In 2020, Indonesia recorded economic growth in a recession. However, it seems that in 2021 Indonesia's economic growth can return to positive, touching the 5% figure.
